Lisa Bechtel is a certified Hurqalya Heart Energy Healer who graduated from the Institute for Applied Meditation's Training Program in August, 2023. She graduated from the Institute for Applied Meditation's Heart Rhythm Meditation two year program (iamU) in 2022 and is now a teacher in that program. Lisa is a retired Licensed Professional Counselor and Play Therapist and is a member of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology and the Energy Medicine Professional Association. She practices Hurqalya Heart Energy Healing in person at Unity of Palmyra in Palmyra, PA and is available for distance healing as well. Lisa believes that healing requires growth and change on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels of each being. She is eager to accompany her clients as they seek new ways of being in their bodies, minds, hearts and souls during their sojourn on this physical plane of existence. Lisa lives with her wife and dogs and chickens on a small farm near Harrisburg, PA.

I have been a structural bodyworker in private practice for 26 years. I also serve as a registered nurse at the VA hospital in the Emergency Department. I have been a registered nurse
for 22 years and previously served as a medic in the US Army. The work I offer is holistic and trauma-informed, grounded in years of deep study and my current practice in western medicine.
My practice is dedicated to healing myself and offering healing approaches to those I serve. I have studied several different bodywork modalities, fascinated by how improving structure and alignment supports profound change. Structural Integration, Myofascial Release, and Myoskeletal Alignment Technique (MAT) provide complimentary maps of structural change I utilize in all of my work.
My practice has since evolved to integrate Organic Intelligence®, acupuncture, cranial and visceral therapies, the Trager® Approach and Rolf Movement™, yoga, and various indigenous healing modalities. These practices have opened my eyes to how trauma is rooted in the body’s biology, not just the mind. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their inherent wholeness, backed by a wealth of experience and training across integrative therapies.
