A sacred seasonal drama from the past . . . for the present!

  Written and performed by Irish born, Canadian actor, author and playwright Mark Finnan, THE MASTER and THE ESSENES is a story of the power of love, of spiritual consciousness in the earth, of the Christ, and of the reclusive Essenes and the part played by this reclusive Jewish sect in the birth of Christianity.

Combining his own spiritual journey and research with his earlier work in theatre, Mark’s solo performance is powerful in its ability to evoke the sense of that extraordinary time and in the portrayal of a wandering Greek actor named Demetrius, who saw, heard and followed Yeshua of Nazareth (later called Jesus by the Greeks) as he walked, taught and healed throughout the villages, towns and countryside of ancient Palestine.

See and hear what it was like to encounter and be healed by this extraordinary man, who taught that God is Love, that we should love each other and who forever changed the consciousness of mankind and the course of human history.

Although set in the past the story told in THE MASTER and THE ESSENES is relevant to us today as we endeavor to find healing, purpose and wholeness in a challenging and ever changing world.  A world in which the Christ spirit is increasingly awakening and alive in the minds, hearts and actions of so many.
