UniKids - "Celebrating my God-Self" and Gratitude journals

We begin the morning in the sanctuary. This helps the other members of the congregation make the connection between you and your child. It also introduces your child to Unity’s rituals and statements of belief. The song leader announces when the children go to their classrooms.
We believe in the Five Unity Principles.
• God is all good and active in everything and everywhere.
• I am naturally good because God’s Divinity is in me and in everything.
• I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
• Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
• I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I make a difference!
We have four YE programs. Each one is designed for a specific age group. The UniAngels and UniKids go downstairs for their class. The UniTeens and YOU go upstairs for theirs. At the end of the service, the children re-enter the sanctuary to sing the Peace Song and recite the Prayer for Protection. They are welcome to rejoin you at that time or after the service.
UniAngels (Age 4 – Grade 1)
Using Unity curriculum, we teach about God and the good inside all of us. We use puppet theatre, drama, storybooks, games, and arts and crafts to reinforce these concepts. We’re currently using What a Wonderful World, Vol. 1.
UniKids (Grades 2 – 5)
Using Unity curriculum, we teach about God and the five Unity principles. We use drama, games, songs, and arts and crafts to reinforce these concepts. We’re currently using Celebrating My God-self.
UniTeens (Grades 6 – 8)
Using Unity curriculum, we provide a deeper understanding of God and the five Unity principles. We emphasize the importance of prayer and meditation. We provide a safe environment in which to navigate these tumultuous years. We’re currently discussing I of the Storm for Teens.
Y.O.U. (Grades 9 – 12)
Using Unity curriculum and other texts, the youth lead the discussions, prayers, and meditations. The adults provide a safe environment in which to explore the youths’ ideas. Together, we seek to deepen our personal connection to God. We’re currently discussing What Do You Stand For?
