June 29 – World Religions Sunday/Youth Ed Sunday – Discover the oneness in all religions as our youth share what they have learned in their study of World Religions this year. Special music will include songs from various faith traditions.
June 1 – Youth Ed Food Drive for the Caring Cupboard. Thanks to all who participated!

Friday-Sunday, April 25-27 – Y.O.U. SPRING RALLY – Tim and Kirby went to the Eastern Shore for another Y.O.U. Rally. The theme was Me, Myself, and I AM. Thank you, Tim, for representing our chapter at the business meeting.
Friday-Sunday, April 11-18 – UNITEEN CAMP – Jessye, Shane and Tyler went to Philly for the Second Annual UniTeen Camp. The theme was Spirit Rhythm: The Breath and Pulse of Life. They climbed the various ropes courses, played lots of "Ga Ga" and participated in a drumming circle.
Friday-Sunday, March 28-30 – Y.E. CONFERENCE – Jan and Barb atgtended the Y.E. Teachers' Conference. The keynote speaker was the Rev. Diane Venzera, a popular author of Unity material for children. Rev. Venzera stresses that each child has his/her unique learning style. Each lesson plan needs to tap into those different learning styles so that the material can resonate with the child. We look forward to using Rev. Venzera's material in class in the next few months.
Saturday-Sunday, March 15-16 – Y.O.U. LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE – Tim and Kirby attended the Y.O.U. Leadership Conference. It exposed them to what it would be like to be a leader and to think about what kind of a leader they would be. They also focused on The Seven Habits of an Effective Teen. We're glad they stretched themselves and attended this event. Thank you, Gary, for taking the youth!
Saturday, January 19 – GAME NIGHT
While the older youth were away, we enjoyed board games, ordered pizza and shared our favorite desserts.Saturday, March 1 – LOCK-IN – We enjoyed a raucous night of Karaoke, hide-'n-seek and flashlight tag. Then slowed down for the annual fireside chat, foot reflexology/reading by Gwen Ward, and a Tai Chi class by Julie Kaylor. A special "thank you" to Gwen Ward, who dazzled us with her knowledge and anecdotes. Thanks to all the adults who helped make the night a fun and safe one!

Jan. 6 – YE MEETING – Our first meeting of the year, at the Kaylor residence. We talked about curriculum and upcoming events.
Sunday, Jan. 6 – BURNING BOWL CEREMONY
The children and youth joined together to release the past and begin anew with a deeper connection to God. In this special ceremony, we symbolically burned our past in the burning bowl and affirmed our goodness.
